Hi there and welcome to the SHP blog!!

What a year 2020 has been so far! From flooding in the Snoqualmie Valley in January and February to weeks and weeks and weeks of quarantine due to COVID-19, we have seen and experienced a lot during the first six months of the new decade. For me, it has been both a blessing and a bit of a curse. During this Stay-At- Home time, I have been able to be creative with my kids and learn a few new things, but you know, I really miss people. I am so happy we can finally venture outside of our homes again, go to restaurants and eat on patios, and even attend drive-in church services... PLUS, I can take pictures of you folks again... safely of course!

I am so excited to showcase families, business and special events here! I love telling the story behind the image and that's what I hope you will let me do by booking a photo session! There is an enormous amount of joy that comes from going through old pictures and remembering all of your blessings that you have been given throughout the bumpy road of life. I love that while building this website I was able to find old photos and remember client families I knew years ago with so much fondness! What's even more fun, is seeing those same clients year after year and getting to see their families grow and grow up.

I know 2020 has been a life changing year so far, but what I hope it means for you, though, is many moments filled with joy and the ability to take the time to look back and count your blessings with fondness, too!

When you have four kiddos convincing everyone to smile at the same time and stay clean is a bit of a challenge, but my friend Mia is one skilled mama! I have had the pleasure of getting to know these kiddos year after year, and each year they all make me smile! My favorite moments that I get to experience with this family are when no one wants to cooperate and smile, these kiddos are so expressive. From the oldest son, who wants to be serious and perhaps a bit mysterious, to the youngest, who is dressed in perfectly in a cream and gold dress and wants to kick off her shoes, this family makes my job exciting!

Senior Modeling Team

I love the excitement of photographing seniors in high school and college. There is a sense of optimism that they are just within reach of their dreams! I love how fearless they are in front of the camera. Their confidence is so contagious.
